US, We Have A Problem....

"This ominous statement from the new White House website [now promoting abortion 'rights' and homosexuality] left me with a sinking feeling that our discussions about our Christian faith in a "pluralistic" society - and in the public square - may also be at risk." (Thanks to Carolee Adams and the Brown Pelican Society for this important news)

Senator Obama also laid down principles for how to discuss faith in a pluralistic society, including the need for religious people to translate their concerns into universal, rather than religion-specific, values during public debate.

Read:

Its ok to have Religious discussions and conversations as long as you don't talk about a Specific religion, or belief.

Meaning there is no absolute truth- No right from wrong.

Where have I heard something like this before... oh yes.. from the serpent in the garden of eden

So many people labor under the wrong idea that all religions are 'equal'. I would like to see a movement amongst the laity to address this specific issue; as I feel that it keeps many from understanding the Truth of Jesus the Christ.

This is certainly a teaching moment.

Catholic truth, is about universal, rather than religion-specific, values.

We needn't change a thing.

The world would have an easier time surviving without the sun than it would without Jesus the Christ and His Church (Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina).

And since only the Holy Roman Catholic Church has the Eucharist, then I'd say that the beliefs of the Catholic Church are hardly universal. And they are far from being mere "values."

If you don't worship Jesus the Christ as God, and the Holy Trinity as God, then I'd say you need to change things in your life. You need to become a member of the Holy Roman Catholic Church so that you may receive the Holy Eucharist, confess your sins to a Catholic priest, and have Life in you (The Gospel According To Saint John, 6:54).
